Transit Villages In Orinda?

Shouldn't Orinda Voters Decide?

Save Orinda is a group of Orinda residents very concerned about a proposed Downtown Plan which would drastically alter our city's semi-rural nature. The plan, which calls for demolition of much of our quaint downtown, eviction of many of our local businesses, and replacement of entire blocks with five-story high-rise condominiums, was intended to be sent to the City Council with no opportunity for citizens to vote on the issue. The plan was created by a task force, led by real-estate developers, who would like to change downtown Orinda into a "Transit Village." The plan does not take in to account traffic, parking, quality of life, or whether Orindans even want this change.

Save Orinda wants the citizens of Orinda to have a democratic say in this matter -- whether yes or no!  Please join us in our efforts so that Orinda residents will be the ones to decide the future of our beloved city.
